Help & Support

NETWORK STATUS:  There was an issue affecting servers in the Phoenix Data Center with Nexcess.  This stemmed from an elevated white space temperature issue in the Phoenix NAP facility, caused by multiple utility bump events which affected the facility’s chillers and can be attributed to storms in the Phoenix, Arizona area this week.  Technicians and their vendors have resolved the situation, restored cooling to their facility customers, and are working to prevent this issue from taking place in the future.

Update – We have restored all services and observed continued stability. We will keep a close eye on the platform and continue to update this page with any new developments.

We are currently responding to a critical cooling issue affecting our Phoenix data center facility.  Sites will remain unavailable until the underlying issue is fully resolved.

A major chiller equipment failure has significantly reduced cooling capacity within the facility, and temperatures are continuing to rise. With external temperatures expected to reach approximately 100°F today, there is an increased risk of service disruption and potential hardware impact.
https://status.phoenixnap.com/incidents/dnjp5pfv2mmh – this is related to a facilities issue in the data center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Our teams are actively working with the data center provider to mitigate the situation and restore normal cooling operations. Replacement work is underway, but current estimates indicate repairs may take 10-16 hours or longer.

To protect customer infrastructure and reduce the risk of hardware damage or data loss, we may need to perform controlled shutdowns of affected systems if temperatures continue to increase. Where possible, we will prioritize orderly shutdown procedures rather than allow systems to remain exposed to unsafe operating temperatures.

At this time, customers with infrastructure located in the affected facility should prepare for potential service interruptions.

We understand the seriousness of this situation and the impact it may have on your business. Our teams are monitoring conditions closely, and we will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.

We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience as we work to protect your infrastructure and restore normal operations.

Sincerely,
Nexcess Support Team
